1. dive: scuba
we find a dead red-lipped batfish in 42m but shortly after this max found another one which was alive. they look so strange and extraordinairy! in german they are calles ’schlampenfisch‘ which means whore and we all think that this is an excellent name for this kind of fish. the red lips really look so bitchy!
after this we went higher to a rock where gerhard and a hammerhead were really close but – of course! – he did not catch this experience on tape. but i can tell you: the poor hammerhead was way more frightened than our big daddy!
2. dive: david
we saw approximatley 6 hammerheads behind the ’sprungschicht‘ but altough we hid immedeatly they would’nt come back. there were also some big tunas and at the straight end of the dive we saw 2 wahoos directly under the surface. nothing more, nothing less.
3. dive: vagamares
a really beautiful dive! we swam trough two caves with lots of fish and morays. i forgot the batteries of our foto-camera, so i had lots of time to sneek around and do nothing at all which was really relaxing and interesting! after the second cave we wanted or actually needed to descend but suddenly we saw two turtles and we followed them to the bottom (around 32m) where we found out that actually we were witnesses of a turlte threesome! oh my god! i could have watched forever, but unfortunatley we had no zero bottom time and air left, so we had to get to the surface. the funny thing about this experience: before the dive i said to gerhard: „well, this sucks! no hammerhead schools and no turtles, as well. I WANT TO SEE SOME TURTLES!“ they are my absolut favorite underwater animals and i really missed them during this trip. we wondered if they were not here because they would not have any chance to get on the island. well, i DID see some turtles! actually we saw a real turtle porno! haha!
